Absolutely astounding! This is a very beautiful, upscale restaurant! From the outside through the front doors (2 entrances 1 for quick food: burgers, fried fish sandwiches, etc 1 for soul food: meat plus,2,3, etc...) this place is not only beautiful but also welcoming. I'm very grateful to Maurice Southall, to have had the opportunity to meet the owner and the staff, as well as have a personal tour before the doors opened for today's customers. Pastor Howard E Jones Jr. and his congregation has done an awesome job of adding to this area it's lovely restaurant Kingdom Cafe & Grill. For lunch today, I had baked fish, mac & cheese, turnip greens, cornbread and strawberry shortcake for dessert, sweet tea for a drink. Everything, I do mean EVERYTHING was seasoned to perfection and was delightfully tasteful! With this establishment you're able to walk into a pleasantly cool atmosphere... out of the hot sun to place your order. You can place your order to go (cool off while waiting "inside")...You can stay and dine-in, in the beautifully decorated dinning rooms (2). Or, If you choose, there's a very elegant formal dinning for lease for your meetings, group sessions, award ceremonies, etc... I would recommend this establishment as a must try, to our President and his family (Obama), my family, friends and associates of any kind!!! A big Shout out to all the employees, you all make the atmosphere, it was extremely pleasant thanks to your willingness to serve! God honors servitude! A special thanks to the head chef, young lady keep walking in your gift, keep everything looking as BEAUTIFUL as it is today... God knows your heart and see your work, your labour is not in vain! Maurice Southall, you keep spreading the word of both the gospel and that of the restaurant. Keep the passion and love I hear when your speaking of the ministry you attend and that of the word of God. Pastor H.E.J. Jr, you've done a great thing! Thank you sir!

The staff at Kingdom Cafe are always so pleasant with positive energy. They always make sure you have what you need and are satisfied. I will say the friend chicken and meatloaf were good. However, I do feel like the sides have fallen off just a tad bit if you go during the weekday versus a Sunday after church. Overall, it's still a good, soulful restaurant.
